Have you ever wondered why your business is not growing as it should? Maybe it is time to assess your business and eliminate what is not needed, automate what you can, delegate easy-to-do tasks to others so that you can focus on the growth of your business.

Claire Whittaker joins Kim on the show to talk about these four key areas and how to use them to explode your business.

Claire is a business systems and automation coach and the founder Artificially Intelligent Consulting. But she didn’t always know that this was going to be her path. Claire started her career as a research chemist working on developing new products and finding ways to scale them using lean manufacturing methods. After a while, she wanted something more fast-paced and that was when she joined Amazon. Initially, in account management, she moved across a variety of roles eventually working on projects and launching products using artificial intelligence across Europe, India, and Japan. Now, as a certified SME consultant, she is working with small businesses, sharing the framework that helped her drive consistent, sustainable growth without getting overwhelmed. Her signature program DRIVE Together helps business owners identify and implement systems to double revenue without working extra hours.

S2-EP112 Free Ways To Promote Your Book With Kim Thompson-Pinder and Juanita Wootton-Radko

Kim & Juanita talk today about ways to advertise and get your book out there, so that it builds your business instead of boxes of books sitting in your garage. The share about changing the way you see the book into one where it is a tool that use. They also talked about how to use free promo sites, Facebook groups, your email signature Goodreads groups and an Amazon Idea List to gain attention for your book.

The Starting Point

Hopefully, by now, you have had a chance to start reading the book excerpt and see the power of becoming the Authority in your niche.

In today’s lesson, I want to focus on the first of the six key areas of the Author To Authority concept-marketing. I have been an entrepreneur for a long time but never started to see any success until I determined who it was I was created to work with.

For years, I had been trying to be who all my mentors told me I had to be and failed miserably because it was opposite to my true self. No wonder I couldn’t get the results I wanted!

It was only when I decided that I didn’t care anymore what others thought of me and build my business in a way where I could be me, that growth happened. In that process, I also realized that there was a specific group of people that I meant to work with, and the rest didn’t matter business-wise.

What a difference it made! Not only did my business multiply, but now I work with amazing clientele, and it is a joy to serve them.

As I thought about it, it came down to three questions I am going to share with you now.

  1. Who do you serve?
  2. How do you serve them?
  3. Who are you in relation to the first two questions?

When you can answer those three questions, it not only creates your core messaging but allows the effectiveness of your prospecting efforts to increase.

Think of it this way. If you don’t know who you serve, then you may have to connect with a hundred prospects to find the one who will buy from you. It would not take long before you get discouraged and stop looking.

But…

What if you knew who you wanted as a client? Not only would you know where to look to find them, but you might only have to talk to five to ten people to find the one. Imagine what would happen to your income when you can quickly bring clients into your business?

Staples invited me to do a training series on the Author To Authority concept and I have made the video and the worksheet of that training available free of charge to my Authority tribe.

To Your Success,

Kim & Juanita continue their series from becoming an Author to going to an Authority in your niche. This episode focuses on the power of your network and the different types of people that should be in it to build your business successfully.

Have you ever looked at a blank computer screen in frustration because the words won’t come because you are afraid it won’t sound right? Or worse, that it won’t be received well?

Kim spent many years feeling that way after a teacher told Kim that she was, “No good at writing and should stop.”  Discouraged, Kim put writing aside. Then, she came to a crossroads in her life and let those painful words go. She set her words free and let her voice be heard once more. Since then, she has gone on to author five books (with three more on the way this year), two planners, and even a collection of Sudoku books. Most importantly, Kim started RTI Publishing and has helped over one hundred entrepreneurs to become authors and taught them how to use their books to become authorities in their niche and open doors to build their business faster.

Kim understands the power of words and can’t wait to share them with you on the podcast.
